Lent – preparing for Easter at St Teresa’s
- Personal quiet time / meditation (beginners welcome) Wednesdays 2-30pm & 6-30pm in the church
- The ASKING TIME – weekly on a Wednesday at 7:30pm in church. This is an opportunity to enquire about our Catholic faith and life. Fe Tony is there to discuss any questions …. what do you want to know?
- Stations of the Cross – weekly on a Friday at 2:30pm in the church
- Saturdays 5pm-6pm – Forgiveness from Christ (Reconciliation) – in church (confessional room), includes opportunity for “Counsel” … a conversation about any issues of faith and returning to faith.
HOLY WEEK & EASTER CELEBRATIONS
- PALM SUNDAY – the beginning of Holy week 29th April 2026. Palm Crosses will be given to all
- Chrism Mass at the Cathedral on Wednesday 1st April 7-30pm with all the priests of the Archdiocese as they renew their vows.
The Sacred Triduum
- MAUNDY THURSDAY – April 2nd begins with the Last Supper Mass at 7pm and “Watching in the Garden” at the altar of repose afterwards
- GOOD FRIDAY “Walk of Witness” with other local Christians (Ecumenical). Meet at St Teresa’s on Good Friday at 11:15am to walk to St Mary’s in West Derby village, for a service at 12 NOOON, carrying the cross through the streets to witness it is Good Friday
- GOOD FRIDAY – April 3rd Service at 3pm When we receive afresh the loving service God gave us in Christ’s sacrifice.
- GOOD FRIDAY – April 3rd at 7pm – Meditation at the Tomb
- HOLY SATURDAY – April 4th is a quiet day with no formal liturgy, but we welcome all the Polish Catholics for their Swieconka at 1pm; a blessing of Easter foods for home prayer together.
- HOLY SATURDAY – Soulcare Meditation from 11am to 2pm
- EASTER VIGIL – is on Holy Saturday evening 4th April starting at 8pm. It is the annual celebration of our own spiritual journeys so far …..
- Recalling God’s action thoughout history
- We all renew our sharing in Resurrection Spirit through Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
- Our newly chosen in the RCIA make the commitment to be Catholic disciples with the sacraments.
- Easter Sunday Mass is at 10am as usual with a joyful welcome to all families … with a little gift for the children
Weekday Mass
St Teresa’s offers daily Mass on Tuesday (church), Wednesday (church) and Thursday (house) at 9-30am and a Contemplative Eucharist (house) at 9-15am on Fridays.
An Early Mass is offered on a Friday at other churches in the North Liverpool Deanery. Our Lady Queen of Martyrs & St Swithin 7:30am (with Adoration at 7am), St Oswald at 8:30am and St Paul at 7am
Forgiveness
Forgiveness is the first gift of Easter

Saturday – 5pm – 6pm in Church. An opportunity for Counsel & Confession. Private & confidential, 1:2:1 with Fr Tony….talk, ask, or sort out any spiritual worries
OUR CROSSES & CHRIST’S
The Cross at the back of church is part of our preparation in Lent – RED post-it notes and red pins are beside the cross at the back of church to write on them your own struggles, sins, sufferings and scars and pin them to the cross which will then be part of the Good Friday service
