Our Parish

What we’re about …

The work of our parish is to nurture each other in following Christ, as we practice and grow in our faith. As baptised Catholic Christians we believe that God is present with us in our everyday lives, calling us to love, to grow and to serve.

We begin this journey close to home – with our families and friends and within our parish community. From there we look outward, reaching into the wider community and the world around us, sharing care, compassion and hope.

At the 2025 St Teresa’s Feast Day Mass, we continued to get to know each as a community. Fr Tony invited people to share where we came from, had we aways lived locally or come from further afield? Were we new or how long had we been in the parish?

Mary, our model

We believe that God is not distant, but active and loving, inviting us to work with Him. In the Annunciation we see Mary responding to God with her “yes”, trusting Him despite not knowing the full path.

We seek in our commitment to be similarly open and make our own daily “yes” to the mystery of God at work in our lives.

Listening to others has always been a help to Catholics.  Hearing others speak of living their faith with it’s ups and downs, helps us grow in confidence in hearing what God is saying to us.

Parish MISSION 2026

  • To nurture the faith of participating adults – to know “God With Us” …..
  • To witness and invite new people to seek and find God with us …..
  • Helping children to progress in faith
  • To develop and nurture “witnesses”or sponsors to help others
  • Attracting people to serve in the ministries at masses

Christian living uses practical ways to develop and improve our skills for listening, interpreting and responding to God’s calling through Jesus Christ. Our parish offers ways of listening for God

  • Personal prayer
